In the Spring of 2021, construction began to redevelop the City’s Main Street corridor. Planning for this $4.8 million project began in 2014. The project which is to be paid through a variety of programs including state and federal grants, bonds issued by the city and low interest loans is slated to by complete by November 2021.

The scope of the project includes new concrete (not asphalt) pavement, curbs and gutter, storm sewers, ADA compliant sidewalks, streetlights, fiber optic lines and a new water main. Work will be completed in one block increments.
