Schuler Motors, Inc., of Morrison, IL recently presented a check to the Morrison Area Development Corporation (MADC) in conjunction with the groups yearly fundraising drive. MADC relies on community partnerships and their financial support in furthering the economic growth of Morrison, by maintaining and attracting businesses to the community.
Past contributions were used to establish the Morrison Industrial Park, invested for future expansion of the Park, development of other business facilities, and to secure a Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity revolving loan fund. Recently MADC, along with the Morrison Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Morrison entered into an agreement to establish a full-time position, concentrating on promoting, supporting, and developing businesses and the community. Corinne Bender, the Morrison Chamber of Commerce Administrator was hired to advance the dual missions of both the Chamber and MADC.
Presenting the check to Morrison Area Development Corporation treasurer Phil Renkes was Schuler Motors owner Mark Schuler. They were joined by MADC Board Members l-r: Vice President Jerry Lindsey, Gary Hayenga, Corinne Bender, Megan (Schuler) Druien of Schuler Motors, Ronald Coplan, and Betty Steinert.
